Company Description

MPC Film provides high end visual effects for the Film industry. We operate across 5 locations including London, Vancouver, Montreal, LA and Bangalore, but have a focus on future growth and expansion. The primary mission is to move the business forward through successfully executing a portfolio of company-wide learning functions and training-specific initiatives. This role will manage and lead the assessment, design, delivery and measurement of training programs across the organization, including onboarding, eLearning, and skills training.

Job Description

  • Define and execute training strategy and road map for deliverables and timeframe
  • Lead the Heads of Academy and University to foster a culture of learning, with an eye to strategically create training that offers the best return on investment.
  • Ensure a high quality training experience and consistent standards across all training initiatives.
  • Oversee the strategy and delivery LMS and ensure quality and consistency remains high, as well as a good user experience.
  • Works with all departments in analysing the performance of the workforce so that additional training can be developed
  • Promote all training initiatives internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with Talent and HR to ensure training goals and plans are in line with business needs.
  • Utilises a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training
  • Ensure a high quality training experience and consistent standards across all training initiatives.
  • Track and report on the progress of graduates and trainees to show return on investment.
  • Create and execute a strategy for engaging with learning institutions to help them better prepare students to work in the field. This includes school visits, serving on committees, inviting educators to the studios, and getting involved in industry groups, like Next Gen Skills Academy and UK Screen VFX Skills Working Group.
  • Broadly advocate for, structure, implement, and support any training related activities.
  • Keep abreast of market information & trends to ensure competitive and relevant design and delivery.


  • A degree in Learning and Development, Adult Education or related field or equivalent
  • Experience from creating and delivering engaging digital content used for training
  • Experience in designing and developing a global training and online strategy
  • Strong comms experience with a strong understanding of how different audiences require customised messages
  • Online program development experience
  • Experience and a strong passion for training and content creation
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus, with an eye on user experience
  • Experience from managing the creation of various types of content: video, text and pictures
  • Able to influence and co-operate with other departments
  • Highly analytical: proven record of creating and delivering meaningful metrics and reporting to various business units
  • Strong project management skills; ability to lead multiple projects whist and obtaining buy-in, and then drive execution and achievement of the right results
  • Motivated self-starter that aims for the highest standards
  • High level of energy with a bias for action and “Getting things done”
