Company Description

With offices all over the globe, the Moving Picture Company (MPC) is one of the world's leading visual effects studios, creating high-end VFX for the advertising and feature film industries. This role reports to the Head of Technology, Montreal. We seek to appoint a Technology Coordinator to help organize projects and coordinate the team’s activities and provide direct support to the Head of Technology.

Job Description

This is a varied role that includes liaising within our Global Technology group, managers and other visual effects departments. It is important applicants are resilient, proactive and know how to work cohesively as part of the bigger picture.   • Facilitating smooth information flow across teams, departments and projects
  • Scheduling project tasks and coordinating their dependencies
  • Coordinating support tasks and their assignment, liaising with stakeholders in all facilities to ensure correct prioritization
  • Keeping status information in our project management tools up to date
  • Capturing decisions and requests, and ensuring these are acted on and documented where needed
  • Monitoring progress and preparing reports, assisting to ensure work is being completed on time, budget and to specification


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience within a deadline driven environment
  • Scheduling experience
  • Clear confident communicator
  • A strong commitment to service, quality and reliability
  • A personable nature who knows how to be upbeat and motivate teams in times of delivery
  • Adept in skillfully juggling tasks; organised and focused
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience of technology projects and technical knowledge is desirable but not essential
  • Film industry experience is preferred but not essential
