Job Description

In this Software Engineer role you will be our standalone Node.js expert in the company. You will be responsible for migrating to the Cloud using new, leading edge technology.  This is a great opportunity to guide our technology team in all things Node.js and AWS to ensure best practices.

What you'll do as a Software Engineer:

We are looking for a talented Node.js Engineer who has worked on a high volume, API driven service using Node.js on the backend - this is not a frontend role. 

This role would suit someone who has the confidence to introduce and encourage a safe collegiate environment were team members can push back, speak up, and be collaborative.

Qualifications

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Demonstrable backend experience in Node.js (3-5 years)
  • Strong experience in AWS and serverless computing (ideally Docker, Kubernetes, Lambda & Terraform)
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines that enable daily production releases
  • Effective monitoring, logging and security best practices
  • Experience in Java will be a added bonus
