Job Description

As a valuable member of the MLSE Service team, you will be responsible for ensuring you will always deliver championship food and beverage service to our guests by living our Visions and Values.

  • Set dining room according to catering requirements and a la carte service as required
  • Prepare for service; polish cutlery/glassware, stock side stations, prepare mise en place etc.
  • Provide friendly and informed response to questions regarding menu and wine selections.
  • Deliver timely food and beverage service according to specific catering and restaurant standards as directed by service manager.
  • Up-sell menu items/orders.
  • Order items with speed and accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation.
  • Run food efficiently and with a sense of urgency.
  • Removal of all dirty dishes, glassware and cutlery.
  • Replenish / stock work area.
  • Quick and thorough completion of assigned side duties.
  • Service guests in a professional and efficient manner
  • Adhere to MLSE service standards and policies.
  • Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in an upscale, high volume restaurant environment
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Possess a valid Smart Serve Certificate.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work well with other people on a small team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment (or interest in learning more) an asset.
