Job Description

MLSE Digital Labs is the technology and innovation arm of MLSE. Digital Labs strives to push the boundaries of sports and entertainment by creating extraordinary moments, amplifying our competitive advantage through technology, and encouraging a culture of integrity, inclusion, and innovation.

The Strategy & Innovation team is accountable for identifying, evaluating, and delivering growth and innovation capabilities throughout the organization with a focus on strategic planning, project execution, and continuous business growth through technology.

Reporting to the Manager of Program Management & Delivery, the successful candidate will play a critical role in driving successful execution on innovative, technology-based projects.

Ideal candidates are self-starters accustomed to dynamic, fast-paced environments, and adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Possessing strong communication skills and a “we-first” mentality, you have experience building detailed project plans, supporting task execution, bringing stakeholders of various operational & technical backgrounds together to bring an idea into reality. Proficiency in crafting compelling presentations and documentation for diverse audiences is essential.

  • Play a key role in understanding and interpreting our business partners challenges and goals while collaborating with internal teams to deliver innovative solutions both on time and on budget.
  • Manage the delivery of projects (planning, executing, closing) with a large group of stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments.
  • Proactively support in solving problems that arise during project execution, ensuring timely resolution and escalations to senior stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • Structure presentations, documentation and project updates with meaningful recommendations to various levels of stakeholders from project lead to C-Suite.
  • Develop and track performance metrics and budgets to measure the success and impact of projects, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Support capital budget process and continuous updates throughout the fiscal.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring they meet project requirements and deliverables.
  • Lead and/or assist in building out business cases and the implementation of pilot projects.

Qualifications

  • A graduate with a post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or other relevant area.
  • 3 or more years of experience in project management, management consulting, strategy, or business operations.
  • Team first, positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly present recommendations.
  • Superb interpersonal skills with a demonstrable ability to build relationships with key partners at all levels.
  • Ability to frame business problems and initiate research and analysis tasks to provide recommendations and key learnings to business leaders (both written & verbal).
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with large-scale projects.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Six Sigma, etc) is considered an asset.
  • Intimate knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly in PowerPoint.
