Job Description

As part of MLSE’s NBA Gatorade League team (affiliate of the Toronto Raptors Basketball Club), this position will be responsible for assisting with the development and management of the operational functions of the team including day to day activities, internal communications, community initiatives, and assistance with team functions.

MLSE's Internship term dates are from January 6, 2025 - April 25, 2025

  • Help organize weekly cross-departmental communications meetings.
  • Assist with event management including but not limited to coordinating people and activities, scheduling, logistics, account reconciliation, and evaluation.
  • Support team members with community event planning and execution.
  • Research community partners and develop long term partnership plan.
  • Collaborate on the preparation and execution of player development programs.
  • Collaborate with internal clients (Ticket Sales & Service, Communications, Public Relations, Global Partnerships, Marketing, and Basketball Operations) to guide the strategic integration of team assets on core business objectives impacting Raptors 905.

Qualifications

  • You are currently enrolled in a university or college Program, diploma or certificate in Event Management, Sports & Event Marketing, Stage Management, Film/TV/Theatre Production, Sports Management, Event Presentation, or a related field.
  • You are a creative problem solver with an ability to think ‘outside-of-the-box’.
  • You are highly organized and detail oriented with strong project management skills.
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • You have a strong work ethic with a proven ability to communicate with various collaborators efficiently and effectively.
  • You have experience with Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • You are flexible on scheduling with working on evenings, weekends and holidays as the need arises.
