Job Description

If you answered yes to all four, then the position as MLSE’s Event Presentation Specialist might be the perfect opportunity.

The Event Presentation Specialist will help ideate, develop and execute the presentation elements for as many as 100 MLSE events each year. The position involves the day-to-day management of multiple and overlapping programs, events, and experiences. In addition, the Event Presentation Specialist will be expected to lead their groundbreaking events, for our fans, partners, teams, and internal clients.

Contract: 14 Months 

  • Work with the broader EXT group on brainstorming and the creation of new events for clients and partners that deliver an exceptional fan experience.
  • Work with our Event Presentation Assistant to help build and foster an inclusive, engaging, and rewarding environment for EXT’s 90 hourly team members.
  • Continuously search the sports and entertainment world for innovative events, programs, and concepts to bring to our clients and ultimately our fans.
  • Show calling and/or stage-managing MLSE’s most high-profile events.
  • When required, lead both operational and presentation elements of select events
  • Continue to grow as one of MLSE’s foremost Maple Leafs, Raptors, TFC, Marlies, and Argos most trusted authorities.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in a related field or a certificate/diploma in sport, entertainment, or event management is ideal.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in event management with a focus on live event presentation and/or athletics, show calling, and operational planning & execution.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects with various timelines, as well as competing and changing priorities.
  • Successful budget management across multiple projects, showcasing the ability to track, adjust, and deliver on-target budgets.
  • Outstanding written communication and storytelling ability.
  • An affinity for working with others, on the scene, at the rink, court, field, or pitch.
  • A talent for show calling/stage managing events with big league confidence.
  • Proficient in office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
  • Extremely flexible on scheduling, travel, working nights/weekends and or holidays.
  • A desire to deliver the best and build a career that is… extraordinary.
