Job Description
This position will be responsible for the finance and league reporting functions of the Toronto Raptors and Raptors 905 teams. This role will be key in driving continuous process improvements and completing timely league reporting. This role will report directly to, and work closely with the Senior Manager, Finance, and operational groups to accurately report financial results.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of league financial reports for NBA
- Preparation of league financial reports for G-League
- Preparation of monthly internal and external reporting packages
- Preparation of league gate receipts reports for NBA and G-League
- Preparing for annual and league audits, including the resolution of audit issues, and providing information, as necessary
- Assist with preparation of annual planning process and forecasts
- Assist with general accounting duties, including the preparation of monthly accruals and journal entries
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet schedules
- Ad-hoc requests and projects as required
Qualifications

- A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Postgraduate degree or diploma in a finance-related field
- Completed a recognized accounting designation (CPA)
- Thorough understanding of financial accounting principles
- Strong interpersonal communication (written and verbal) skills
- Results and detail oriented focusing on leading practices and ongoing improvements
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines managing multiple priorities
- Demonstrate initiative and can work independently and as part of a team
- Preference for a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Exceptional understanding of Microsoft Excel and Financial Modeling
- Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP, Workiva (WDesk), Power BI, and Archtics considered an asset
