Job Description

MLSE is looking for an integrated media leader with a passion for sports and culture to join our Global Partnerships leadership team. Reporting to the Director, Media Integration, the ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the current Digital-first media group and will focus on the development and deployment of strategic Digital marketing partnership programs across multiple campaign types that live within the MLSE media ecosystem, as well as paid media to support. You will contribute your fluency in social platform marketing and digital technologies to identify trends for our partners (including but not limited to Facebook, Google, X, Snapchat, TikTok, AR, and VR). With an integrated communications approach, you will be an organized thought leader with a strong acumen for business development, inspired to deliver compelling multi-platform marketing solutions for current and prospective partnerships. You are both creative and analytical, and have a passion for digital marketing, social media, emerging technology, and content creation.

The role

  • Oversee a large and diverse portfolio of integrated partnerships that focus on the planning and execution of awareness and lead-generation campaigns and programs
  • Member of the Global Partnerships Management team representing the Media Integration group
  • Build and cultivate trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, this includes Marketing, Traffic, Operations, and Creative teams.
  • Support leading the Media Integrations group, consisting of creative, impactful individuals with media planning, digital strategy, project management and execution responsibilities across multiple MLSE-owned digital properties (Leafs, Raptors, TFC, Argos, Live/Ticketmaster) and venues (Scotiabank Arena, BMO Field, Coca-Cola Coliseum)
  • Oversee media strategy documents, blocking charts/ campaign plans, and lead distribution strategy and interim/post reports across MLSE media ecosystem + paid media
  • Collaborate with a full range of internal resources, from digital product to brand marketing, creative services and beyond, to expand on partner briefs and campaign ideas with digital and social tactics that deliver against client objectives
  • Work collaboratively with outside vendors to ensure efficient spending and optimization of planning and reporting
  • Deliver business results for our partners through a solutions-oriented approach
  • Support with new business goals and revenue strategies

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an integrated media role, including demonstrated focused on digital and social media planning
  • You have experience leading successful teams with varied strengths, including employee coaching and talent development.
  • You have experience buying and selling media, while understanding standard valuation inputs and substantial experience working with performance marketing metrics (CPM, CPA, etc.)
  • You understand channel strategy and have had experience working with digital strategists/channel strategists
  • You have a proven track record to excel with senior-level relationships – both internally and externally
  • You have experience leveraging digital marketing trends, emerging media, technology, and platforms to provide recommendations and grow sellable assets.
  • Lead digital-specific projects and campaigns, varying from content marketing and social strategies to digital customer journeys and technology-driven initiatives
  • Help define success, monitor and measure the performance of digital strategies and tactics
  • Speak and present to clients and internal departments about strategic recommendations, sharing knowledge with clients and colleagues to help define industry best practices
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize your workload, calendar and responsibilities
  • You are inclusive and compassionate; you seek to understand how others view and experience the world
