Job Description

As a valuable member of the Live Events team, you will be responsible for the delivery of winning customer service and leadership. You will be instrumental in overseeing the smooth, efficient execution of various events taking place at Scotiabank Arena, BMO Field, and Coca-Cola Coliseum.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of events, working within the Live Events team to lead all relevant event day personnel.
  • Act as liaison between client and building personnel on day of event execution.
  • Work with both front and back of house teams; providing friendly and informed response to any service or operational related issues and inquiries.
  • Communicate positively and professionally with staff, clients and fans.
  • Conduct event briefings for all event staff on day of event execution.
  • Ensure the Building Safety polices & procedures are followed accordingly.
  • Document for follow up, all incidents/concerns.
  • Assist with other administrative functions including, but not limited to; event details, event calendars and scheduling.
  • Ensure adherence by fans and employees to MLSE policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance to the Live Events team and all other areas as requested

Qualifications

  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts; weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays as the need arises, including longer shifts on event days
  • Supervisory experience, preferably in event management or a related field.
  • Outgoing, organized, diplomatic and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Able to exercise diplomacy and tact always
  • Experience in a unionized environment and in the live entertainment industry an asset
  • Proven to perform well under pressure; manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a high degree of attention to detail
  • An ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client satisfaction
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • A positive, winning attitude, incorporating integrity, confidentiality, and discretion
