Job Description

As part of the MLSE membership and retention team, you will have the unique opportunity to assist with a wide range of Membership engagement initiatives, events, and administrative tasks. Your passion and dedication to teamwork will contribute to drive successful business results and deliver exceptional experiences to our Season Seat Members and colleagues.

MLSE’s Internship term dates are from May 8th, 2023 - September 1st, 2023

Responsibilities:

  • Support Toronto Raptors, Raptors 905, Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Marlies, Toronto FC & Toronto Argos brand teams on strategic service, retention, and engagement initiatives
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of best-in-class Membership and Sales events, focused on delivering exceptional client experiences
  • Complete extensive research of league best practices and innovative solutions to inform future membership services & retention strategies
  • Support data cleanse initiatives to maintain data integrity on our Season Seat Member database
  • Provide insights and creative solutions to inform our communications and engagement content on our team mobile apps
  • Provide support on managing Membership / Sales general email inbox and Chatbot
  • Assist with team queue line / reception phone coverage when necessary
  • Oversee game day Membership gift drop offs / pickups and assist with other game day duties
  • Support on-site and off-site Membership event activation set-ups and tear downs, where necessary
  • Reimagine and organize process for tracking internal gifting inventory and event collateral assets
  • Support Sales Team collaborations with other MLSE Departments where necessary
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Perform other administrative, Sales or Membership special projects as required

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a University or College program focusing on sport / business management, or related discipline 
  • A proactive approach toward day-to-day activities and shifting demands, demonstrating a high level of initiative and independence 
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Available when required for Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Marlies, Toronto Raptors, Raptors 905, Toronto FC & Toronto Argonauts home games and special events, including evenings & weekends 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment 
  • Willingness to be always a team player 
  • Strong leadership skills and problem-solving skills 
  • Effective communicator that can clearly convey information 
  • Self-motivated, detailed and organized 
  • Excellent time management skills and able to meet multiple deadlines  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook an asset 
  • Demonstrated dedication to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
  • You are fully vaccinated against Covid-19
