Job Description

You will be working on an upbeat and dynamic team that values building great relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Manager of Partnership and Projects, this position will support a wide range of administrative and community development responsibilities supporting the work of the MLSE Foundation.

This position is responsible for supporting the administration of the community investment portfolio, including grants, capital projects, strategic investments, and proprietary programs. In addition, the role will implement storytelling strategies, steward community partners, maintain database integrity, and liaise with diverse community agencies and Indigenous organizations across Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a primary point of contact for organizations contacting MLSE Foundation.
  • Support the administrative processes of grant disbursements and managing due diligence.
  • Maintain and review incoming grant applications via electronic tracking system (WizeHive) and ensure accuracy of information, while consistently looking to improve processes and systems, to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure the accurate preparation of backup for grant cheques, grant packages, grant agreements and evaluations, that meet business objectives but are sensitive to community needs.
  • Support the oversight of MLSE Foundation’s strategic partners such as FFBC, ENAGB and others.
  • Work collaboratively with the Foundation team, to ensure donors and community partners are engaged, recognized and stewarded in a timely, personalized and meaningful way that respects community sensitivities.
  • Keep MLSE Foundation organized by supporting admin tasks such as: internal merchandise orders, shared calendars, storage inventory, board meeting document preparation and briefing notes.
  • Support ongoing qualitative and quantitative evaluation of our investment impact, in collaboration with the Research and Evaluation team
  • Assist with development and implementation of outreach and marketing activities, campaigns, and strategies.

  • You have good understanding of the communities we serve, and the Mission and vison of MLSE Foundation and the work of MLSE LaunchPad.
  • You have familiarity with applying anti-oppressive and anti-racist principles to your work and engage in continued learning in these areas.
