Job Description

Reporting to the Director, HR Technology, the Lead, HR Technology and Integrations supports the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of all MLSE’s HR technology solutions, with an emphasis on Workday, the primary HCM. The primary responsibility of this role is to identify system optimization opportunities, manage the ever-growing list of Workday enhancements, and implement each improvement using our prioritization and governance process with solid project management skills.

Job Description

  • Remain current on HR system requirements by actively participating in the online system community and human resource data analytics trends by providing recommendations for continuous improvement of our systems and processes.
  • Functional knowledge of the various HR disciplines and their data needs (e.g., talent management, learning & development, compensation, payroll, benefits, absences, etc.), and knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and processes and work effectively with all types of highly confidential information
  • Support the HRIS team with upgrades & changes to annual system processes for all P&I initiatives such as merit planning, bonus payout, goal setting and performance review. HRIS technical Workday lead in the People & Inclusion department (HR) supporting all functions. Subject Matter Expert for HR Information System (Workday), and responsible for ensuring the system is effectively configured, maintained, and utilized.
  • Collaborate with the process owners to identify, define, and document large-scale data configuration requirements by applying system-focused logic to establish MLSE and P&I programs and policies and implement them in the system.
  • Identify and communicates potential risks to projects
  • Develop creative solutions to unexpected problems that arise within the business while adhering to MLSE compliance and standards and executes changes to Workday processes/ procedures using our Change Request protocol
  • While maintaining a focus on Workday, become the authority to all P&I HR technology solutions: SmartRecruiters, Workplace, Skillsoft Percipio, etc.
  • Experience with API integration development and maintenance of an asset.
  • Assess and perform test configurations in sandbox tenant to develop a feasible, scalable and logical solution to an identified BPI (business process improvement).

Qualifications

  • Senior-level understanding of multi-functional HCM systems and their downstream impact. education in a quantitative discipline or with an HR focus
  • Direct experience in a similar role/capacity (Workday experience is a strong asset)
  • Project management experience in system enhancements and implementations
  • Advanced Excel and Access skills with the ability to quickly create and modify complex reports, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Experience building and maintaining integrations, specifically APi’s, a strong asset
  • High level of critical thinking, strong troubleshooting and investigation skills, a creative problem solver with ideas that drive efficiency and improve business processes
  • Strong communication skills, able to document business requirements from owners and effectively communicate with IT and more technical individuals to ensure full understanding on both sides
  • Strong data management and audit skills
  • Ability to influence and interpret the needs of the HR group and broader business partners
  • A positive, winning approach, incorporating a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion in handling critical data
