Job Description

As the Game Presentation Specialist for the Toronto Maple Leafs, you are responsible for the crafting, producing, and advising the in-arena video and in-game presentations at all Leafs home games and events. Your leadership, passion and dedication to collaboration will contribute to encouraging others.

Responsibilities

  • Floor Direct/Stage Manage the game presentation at all Leafs home games with an emphasis on the 5 areas of focus – Fan Engagement, Player Integration, Video Production, Ritual Activation, and Music
  • Assist in the planning and execution of all in-arena and entertainment activities & talent including the Leafs mascot, Skate Team, Game Crew, Interactive Squad, in-arena announcer & host, DJ and additional entertainers
  • Execute all pre and post-game activities, promotions and concourse activations
  • Assist in the negotiation, scheduling and execution of all entertainment (in-game, timeout, intermissions, pre-game, etc.)
  • Oversee (schedule, mentor, discipline and evaluate) all part time game night staff and Co-Operative/internship education programs
  • Work closely with the Global Partnerships team to develop and implement all partner promotions and ensure all are carried out in accordance with sponsor objectives
  • Negotiate with outside suppliers for goods and services, as required
  • Facilitate arrangements for all special guests
  • Assist in the development of unique and entertaining live skits, video board entertainment and promotions
  • Research and record methods and League/sports best practices in game presentation and special events; maintain our standing as a first class organization
  • Control inventory of all game related supplies, props and prizes
  • Communicate all game night requirements to the appropriate departments
  • Handle all requests for video footage from fans and corporate partners
  • Collaborate with members of the Leafs Game Presentation team on variety of assignments
  • Assist with other related duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Sports Management, Broadcasting, Marketing or Event Planning
  • 1-2 years of experience with game operations, marketing/promotions, entertainment/production, and/or special event activities
  • A creative “big thinker” who can generate and execute new concepts and ideas
  • Must have a high level of Hockey knowledge
  • Must be informed on the current Leafs team and its history
  • Proven track record to oversee many projects simultaneously and to perform under pressure
  • A high level of initiative, applying good judgment and common sense
  • Confident user of XP, Word, Excel
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented
  • Available to work all game nights including weekends and holidays as required
  • A positive, winning approach, incorporating integrity, confidentiality and discretion
