Job Description

As a valuable member of the Toronto Maple Leafs Culture & Inclusion team, you will assist with project-based tasks, coordination of Social initiatives and event execution. Your passion and dedication to teamwork will contribute to ensuring our vision to win that is integral to our business.

  • Assist with planning and execution of Toronto Maple Leafs theme nights and arena take overs. (Example. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation game)
  • Assist with sourcing resources needed for Culture and Inclusion departmental events
  • Assist with coordinating Toronto Maple Leafs Culture and Inclusion social content shoots
  • Assist in the execution of all Toronto Maple Leafs Culture and Inclusion initiatives, internally and within the community
  • Provide administrative support front office staff.
  • Respond to email and in person inquiries – provide general information and refer inquiries to appropriate sources.
  • Maintain general office needs such as: ordering office supplies, sort mail, shipping & receiving, maintain department donations and other generic office duties as requested.
  • Maintain the department storage room
  • Assist office needs at Scotiabank Arena and Ford Performance Centre (practice facility)
  • Provide secondary support on various team events throughout season.

MLSE’s Internship term dates are from January 9th, 2023 - April 28th, 2023

 

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a college/university program, preferably with concentration in Sports Administration / Sport Management, journalism or communications.
  • Shows a keen curiosity about advancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in sport.
  • Experience working with a sports & entertainment company or schooling in the sports & entertainment industry is an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ensure confidentiality when it comes to private information.
  • Demonstrates organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with project management in either professional, academic/school, or community settings.
  • Comfortable working with flexible hours/work schedule which could expand to weekends and evening
  • Knowledge of hockey at both the professional and community levels is an asset
  • You are fully vaccinated against Covid-19
