Job Description

As a valuable member of the RS and e11even’s Catering team, you will be responsible for delivering championship fan service and event execution to guests and clients during a variety of corporate and social events.

  • Oversee catering events and a la carte service, depending on business needs
  • Prepare and organize set up outlines, production sheets, seating plans
  • Ensure pre and post-service tasks are completed and staff are assigned sections and duties
  • Lead expedition of BEOs, liaising with the kitchen and client / food to the dining room
  • Ensure order discrepancies are quickly resolved in a calm and professional manner
  • Supervise the floor during the event/during service; respond to client & guest concerns
  • Ensure closing duties are completed with attention to detail
  • Document service issues and resolutions
  • Produces post-event evaluation reports including financial data entry and overall analysis
  • Attend BEO Meetings, stay informed of updates via change log
  • Lead by example and provide ongoing coaching / training / motivation to staff
  • Assist with other administrative functions including employee performance reviews
  • Adhere to MLSE service standards and policies
  • Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of event experience, catering / banquet preferred
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
  • Supervisory or management experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant
  • Deep understanding and practical knowledge of restaurant business principles and service etiquette
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective team management experience
  • A dedicated approach toward day-to-day activities and shifting demands
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and wine
  • Competent with POS (Point of Sales)
  • An aptitude for identifying and assessing details
  • Exceptional interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Shown to perform well under pressure; handle multiple priorities at a time
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • An ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client satisfaction
