Job Description

As a valuable member of the Marketing team, you will support the Specialists, Talent Strategy on matters relating to the Toronto FC, Raptors, Maple Leafs and Argonauts talent roster. You will collaborate with internal departments to integrate talent-related initiatives into programs, appearances, sponsorships, etc. and further MLSE business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Talent Strategy Specialists in developing mutually beneficial, authentic and meaningful experiences for players and MLSE stakeholders that further business objectives.
  • Trusted Talent contact for Toronto FC, Raptors, Maple Leafs and Argonauts-related business and personal engagement inquiries & requests.
  • Collect and filter all requests, monitor deadlines, prepare reports, and ensure feedback is effectively and accurately communicated to all impacted.
  • On-site Talent support for pre-event admin and logistics, production day execution, and signings.
  • Facilitate Talent appearances at select Toronto FC, Raptors, Maple Leafs and Argonauts home games to enhance the game-day experience for fans and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a tracking database and calendar for all Team and Talent appearances.
  • Collect Talent’s intellectual property to ensure consistency with agreements and maintain alignment from Talent/representatives.
  • Collaborate with MLSE departments to highlight Talent engagement, ensure accurate reporting and provide storytelling opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly reports to measure commercial and community impact. Reports provided to Team Ops, Talent agencies and leagues.
  • Various department financial and admin tasks and projects as necessary.
  • Research best practices across the sports & entertainment industry and build strategic plan proposals.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing or working with professional athletes or VIPs.
  • Strong understanding of basketball/soccer/football/hockey and respective leagues.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Able to exercise discretion, confidentiality and tact at all times.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; quick to learn new software programs.
  • Must be able to work home game days, evenings and weekends, as required.
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a professional capacity.
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
