Job Description

As part of MLSE’s NBA Gatorade League team (affiliate of the Toronto Raptors Basketball Club) and reporting to the Raptors 905 Basketball & Franchise Operations Associate, the Basketball & Franchise Operations Intern / Co-Op will have the unique opportunity to assist with the development and management of the operational functions of the team which will include day to day activities, internal communications, community initiatives, and assistance with team function.

Responsibilities:

  • Help organize weekly cross-departmental communication meetings
  • Assist with event management including but not limited to organizing activities, scheduling, logistics, account reconciliation, and evaluation
  • Support team members with community event planning and execution
  • Research community partners and develop long term partnership plans
  • Collaborate on the preparation and execution of player development programs
  • Collaborate with internal clients (Ticket Sales & Service, Communications, Public Relations, Global Partnerships, Marketing, and Basketball Operations) to guide the strategic integration of team assets on core business objectives impacting Raptors 905

Qualifications

  • You are currently enrolled in a university or college Program, diploma or certificate in Event Management, Sports & Event Marketing, Stage Management, Film/TV/Theatre Production, Sports Management, Event Presentation, or a related field
  • You are a creative thinker with an ability to think ‘outside-of-the-box’
  • You are highly organized and detailed oriented with strong project management skills
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • You have a strong work ethic with a proven ability to communicate with various stakeholders efficiently and effectively
  • You have experience with Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • You are flexible on scheduling with working on evenings, weekends and holidays as required
