Job Description

Working with the Senior Director, the Director, HR Technology Solutions will lead HR technology projects while ensuring they are kept on track, delivered on time and on budget. You are responsible for reviewing functional and technical specifications and your in-depth knowledge of Workday and other HR systems will help MLSE proactively determine solutions to meet business demands and improve process efficiency for end users.

We are searching for a leader with experience driving projects in a dynamic environment with tight timelines and changing business needs. Understanding and solving sophisticated business problems comes naturally to you, and you can communicate project progress to a variety of business partners with ease. Your attention to detail is outstanding, you have a high degree of financial competence and you are passionate about the sports & entertainment industry and HR Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead HR Technology projects varying in size – from ad hoc HR functions to design processes and procedures, through to large-scale enterprise impact projects
  • Lead the strategic vision and project roadmap related to the continued development and implementation of relevant business processes and transactions within the HRIS system, Workday
  • Ensure the integrity of all data and processes run by the system and lead all aspects of troubleshooting and issue resolution, as needed
  • Develop thoughtful reporting and analytical tools, including user dashboards, to leverage HR data and advise business decision making
  • Playing a key role in understanding and interpreting our HR Business Partners challenges and goals, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver innovative solutions both on time and on budget
  • Structuring presentations, documentation and project updates with meaningful recommendations
  • Presenting project updates to leadership audiences and collaborators
  • Researching and communicating industry trends and new technologies
  • Supporting the development and evaluation of strategic business cases
  • Actively challenging your team to look for opportunities for process improvement through probing and anticipating the needs of our HR BPs and HR functions, providing insight into how technology can improve their processes.
  • Lead training initiatives for HR users or end users, as required, to facilitate continued system adoption

Qualifications

  • A "we" first, positive and people-focused demeanor
  • A Graduate of a post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Commerce, other relevant areas specifically is an asset
  • 5 or more years of demonstrable experience in consulting, digital, technology and/or strategic planning/corporate development
  • Proven experience in leading sophisticated, technical projects with the ability to work in an environment with fluid structure and operations
  • Solid project management skills
  • Intimate knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly in PowerPoint, as well as Workday experience being strongly preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly present recommendations
  • Superb interpersonal skills with proven ability to form relationships with key partners at all levels
  • Professional services experience highly sought after in this role
