Job Description

As a valuable member of the Food & Beverage Warehouse team, you will assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing and leading the warehouse area at the Scotiabank Arena, BMO Field & Coca-Cola Coliseum, ensuring the delivery of winning fan service to all guests. You will be instrumental in supporting outstanding fan and staff relations.  Please note the shifts for this role are in the afternoons and evenings.

  • Coach and motivate the Warehouse team
  • Oversee accuracy and efficiency of inventory and orders using our Inventory System
  • Oversee the distribution of product during event
  • Ensure prompt and friendly service to internal customers with a “do what it takes” approach
  • Resolve discrepancies quickly and effectively
  • Assist the Food & Beverage team in the smooth running of events
  • Administer and maintain stock control
  • Carry out the administrative functions pertaining to hiring, scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, coaching, counseling and discipline, posting of invoices, transfers and weekly inventories.
  • Ensure compliance with all related regulations such as those pertaining to Health & Safety and AGCO
  • Adhere to MLSE service standards and policies
  • Lead by example in team management and development, utilizing a “one team” approach; ensure departmental professionalism and winning vision are intact
  • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as requested

Qualifications

  • Previous Supervisory experience in a unionized and/or warehouse environment is preferred
  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Intermediate to advanced skills using Excel, Word and Inventory Control Software
  • Trained in W.H.M.I.S., Smart Serve and ServSafe, NFSTP or equivalent
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Ability to communicate, motivate and lead effectively
  • A proactive approach toward day-to-day activities and shifting demands
  • An ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client satisfaction
  • A positive, winning approach, incorporating integrity, confidentiality and discretion
  • Must be able to lift large 25-50 lbs items consistently throughout an 8 hour shift
  • Must be able to stand and walk for a prolonged period of time during a shift
  • Must be able to work in various work conditions, dealing with extreme heat or cold, indoors and outdoors
