Job Description

As a vital member of our Safety and Security team, you will assist with the coordination of MLSE’s security programs.

  • Work with the Director, Security Programs to develop, edit and publish security department documentation plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials and others as the need arises using professional league requirements, industry best practices and government legislation as the guidance for document creation.
  • Manage the department’s electronic and physical documents, files, reports and schedules
  • Establish a file management system, document sharing and updating program to ensure the department has access to the latest league standards, updated plans, and current schedules
  • Provide department administrative support for events, team meetings, training days and other team functions
  • Coordinate and schedule security awareness training sessions for staff at all MLSE facilities.
  • Participate in league, law enforcement/intelligence and other security partner briefings and meetings.
  • Assist with department presentations and business cases doing research on new products and initiatives
  • Prepare, distribute and track department cost estimates and expense summaries.
  • Provide assistance to other areas and venues as requested

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in a coordination or administrative position providing outstanding organizational skills and document management experience
  • Ability to create documents and presentations of a very high standard.
  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office suite of tools including SharePoint
  • Financial experience leading small event budgets
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting.
  • Previous security program development experience an asset.
  • Ability to listen, understand and communicate effectively
  • A self-starter with a mature, professional demeanor and presence
  • The capacity to learn and grasp new concepts quickly
  • Time management skills and the ability to lead multiple priorities simultaneously with adherence to a strict deadline-driven environment.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required on an occasional basis
  • Proven ability to build and develop professional relationships
  • A positive, winning approach, incorporating personal integrity, confidentiality, and professional discretion & decorum
