Job Description

The Role

The Senior Cyber Security Analyst will help drive the implementation and enhancement of  Information security and Technology Risk Management program initiatives within MLSE, and assist with monitoring information security policy compliance. The Analyst will help manage and oversee the development of the information security roadmap of the organization as well as perform operational activities on implemented information security controls. 

Your Responsiblities

  • Collaborate with IT and various other technical and business teams to implement appropriate security controls
  • Manage and oversee the development and maintenance of Information Security roadmaps across all MLSE brands
  • Help enhance procedures and Security standards to meet corporate policies and industry best practices
  • Build and present documentation to management aimed at communicating benefits of proposed security programs, as well as on current potential risks and providing recommendations.
  • Develop and enhance internal processes to manage information security across MLSE
  • Assist in the identification, assessment, reporting, and management of security risks and design flaws identified in key applications with practical and achievable recommendations.  Stay on top of the latest threat landscape a
  • Lead initiatives related to information security solution implementation
  • Review security reports from various security technologies (vulnerability assessment reports, cyber security reports, audit reports, access privileges, etc.) to identify violations, intrusion attempts, or security weaknesses
  • Monitor the information security industry and be proactive with implementing appropriate information protection controls to mitigate risks
  • Conduct security product research and assess their appropriateness for the organization
  • Perform security incident investigations and document findings/root causes
  • Manage contractual and vendor requests, including assessment of solutions and management of vendor relationships
  • Identify, monitor, assess, prioritize, and disseminate threat data to fill intelligence gaps. Apply critical thinking to develop insights into collected data and identify incidents of significance to determine impact, urgency

Qualifications

What The Role Needs

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent education in computer science, computer engineering, or similar studies
  • CISSP, or equivalent, a must
  • Over 10 years of the information security experience with a focus on Advisory and Risk Management Services.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry security standards such as NIST, SANS  ISO27001/ISO27002, NIST, etc.
  • Experience performing Threat Risk Assessments and communicating results to an Executive audience
  • Demonstrated experience working with security technologies
  • Demonstrated experience with implementing internal assessment processes to manage risk
  • Hands-on experience with various operating systems, network monitoring, and protocols.
