Job Description

The Manager of Learning & Development will be expected to serve as a trusted business partner who can work closely with Senior Leaders to assess training gaps and needs and provide the necessary curriculum development and facilitation. The ideal candidate will design and implement L&D strategy that will provide employees with training opportunities, resources and tools to mobilize MLSE’s employees around MLSE’s fan-first culture, digital innovation, change management initiatives and MLSE’s long-term business strategy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Redesign core MLSE U (MLSE’s Internal Learning Department) programming to demonstrate and highlight MLSE Required Leadership Competencies and create curriculum that models the Future of Work pillars
  • Design/create/facilitate unique MLSE U programs to deliver to employees virtually which reflect MLSE’s Vision, Common Purpose and Coaching Culture
  • Foster and support full inclusion by embedding Diversity & Inclusion practices into MLSE U programing. Support SVP D&I to roll out and run D&I Initiatives through MLSE U
  • Revamp/redesign and implement new Onboarding Strategy
  • Workday LMS functionality, support, maintenance, reporting and upkeep. Analyze and report on monthly L&D metrics
  • Sustainment of Now.New.Next Leadership Scalability Program
  • Development of leveled competencies
  • Oversight of MLSE U Budget
  • Run MLSE U Workplace Group (Weekly posts, track engagement, source L&D opportunities, videos and content to share)
  • Design and implement reward and recognition program in support of the L&D accomplishments
  • Develop, produce, and design training tools and platforms including videos, modules, curated content, etc.
  • L&D feedback surveys of programs and courses and revamping programs to reflect this feedback
  • Drop in’s to departmental meetings as requested to review Coaching Model, MLSE U initiatives
  • Manage external and internal L&D Partnerships
  • An active participant in L&D community to stay abreast of current best practices and trends

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience, with a specific focus on learning and development/training expertise
  • Extensive experience with Workday Learning Management System preferred 
  • Curriculum development: Build, design and facilitate digital learning/training content
  • Deep contacts and active participant in the Learning & Development community
  • Strong digital dexterity and experience using current leading-edge technologies and learning platforms
  • Proven capabilities developing highly engaging content that builds collective competencies and drives incredible employee experience
  • Proven experience in a work environment with a strong Customer Service culture
  • Proven ability to work closely with senior leadership to understand and assess L&D needs and translate this into a thorough learning strategy
  • Proven experience serving as a trusted business advisor to all areas of the business operations
  • Diverse L&D experience: compliance training, customer service, leadership training
