Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) one of the world's premier sports and entertainment companies, owns the Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL), Toronto Raptors (NBA), Toronto FC (MLS), Toronto Argonauts (CFL), Toronto Marlies (AHL), Raptors 905 (NBA D-League), TFC II (USL) and Raptors Uprising Gaming Club, the Toronto Raptors Esports franchise in the NBA 2K League. MLSE has also invested in and operates five of Toronto's sports facilities – Coca-Cola Coliseum, BMO Field, BMO Training Grounds at Downsview Park, home of Toronto FC's Academy and the First Team's practice facility, the Toronto Raptors’ training facility and the MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence, the practice facility for the Maple Leafs and Marlies.

Job Description

As a valuable member of the Esports Team, you will contribute to business operations and event planning support related to MLSE’s Esports business.

  • Support and plan activities and events in the Bell Fibe House, our Esports headquarters.
  • Provide planning and on the ground support for fan events centered around the team or our partners.
  • Take part in our business operations including administrative work related to our teams/leagues/events as well as creative content creation.
  • Conduct industry research to identify new opportunities to grow MLSE’s Esports business.
  • Help with any ad-hoc reporting, presentation development, or analysis of opportunities using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Co-ordinate with internal departments including Marketing and Global Partnerships.
  • Work in compliance with provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other administrative or service functions as required.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a University or College degree / diploma in Business, Analytics, Research, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Sports Management, Digital Marketing, or related discipline
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to successfully work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department
  • Working knowledge of web/social media/social listening is an asset
  • Team first, positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
