Job Description
Our clients who own a Restaurant at is looking to hire a Server. In this role, you play a critical role in serving guests quickly, efficiently, and with complete knowledge of food and beverage menus. Offer superior guest service and maintain station in a clean and orderly manner throughout your shift. Make sure the guests feel welcome and taken care of; wow them with exceptional services
Salary range: $38000 - $48000 per year.
Essential Functions
Explain to guests about the restaurant offerings, the holiday menu/ specials. Suggest seasonal menu, sell additional items (drinks, soup, appetizers, dessert)
Ensure that all guests are greeted in a friendly, timely, and professional manner
Work with the Kitchen to meet any special requirements for ingredients and preparation of food.
Be the Server of choice. Remember regular guests’ names and orders.
Ensure timely delivery of the orders when ready in the kitchen and prepare it as necessary with sauce, garnishes.
Keep guests up-to-date of the status of their drink and food orders if not available immediately.
Perform the proper wine opening and serving procedures.
Perform the proper placement of dishes on the table.
Engage the guests in little talk while serving them to boost their dining experience.
Anticipate guest’s needs before them asking- condiments, water/tea refill…etc
Ensure quality check backs are done promptly, to ensure everything is satisfactory and respond swiftly to any request or complaint.
Make sure that dining room area is kept clean and free of trash at all times; clean up spills promptly anywhere in the dining room; remove or alert management to any safety hazard
Do opening or closing routines for dining room and work stations as needed
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to Lift or move up to approximately 40 pounds frequently.
Bending/kneeling/stooping required – frequently.
Ability to speak excellently before groups of guests or team members.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to read and interpret papers such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
Routine standing for duration of shift.
Scheduled shifts determined by business needs.
