Opened in 1964 as the only skilled-care facility in Minnesota exclusively for men, Mission Nursing Home provides short-term and long-term care for up to 90 residents who may be experiencing a variety of physical and behavioral health issues. Services include skilled nursing care, physical, occupational and speech therapies, nutrition assistance, and social and recreational activities to help residents attain the optimum quality of life.

Mission Nursing Home has an opening for a Door Monitor.  This unique position monitors our residents’ safety when enjoying the outdoors, front lobby, and smoking lounge.  This position handles some receptionist type duties such as signing residents and their guests in and out of the facility and answering phones.  Staff member will be redirecting residents calling for assistance as needed, and handles a variety of other tasks.   The ideal candidate for this position has great interpersonal skills: friendly, patient, and understanding.  Must be able to tolerate frequent interruptions and multiple demands. 

Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent.  Able to work weekends. Experience working with the elderly, chemical dependency, or mental health settings desired.  Must be able to pass the background check based on the standards established for staff employed in a skilled nursing facility in the State of Minnesota.
