Job Description

  1. To operate and maintain broiler farms according to MyGAP standard, work closely with Maintenance team in order to maintain farm equipment in good operating condition and plan for preventive maintenance (PM).
  2. Conduct stock check of veterinary products (drugs, pesticide, fungicides, and disinfectants) to ensure that they are adequate during treatment process.
  3. Ensure 5S and safety are properly carried out and consistently maintained in the farm.
  4. Ensure smooth process of overall farm operations, implement and work closely with poultry caretakers to determine the best farm management practices in accordance to SOP and COBB standard, and ensure achievement of desired Performance Index.
  5. Responsible for overall farm management, feeds program, bird mortality and weighing of bird flocks and that they are in accordance to the best practices. Accountable for keying in daily records into the mobile device linked to MTech within timeline given.
  6. Closely monitor broiler farms to ensure brooding, raising broiler to meet targeted bell curve desired by customer, overseeing the harvest of broiler to meet optimal requirements, dung removal, sanitation and disinfection of the house, preventive maintenance and preparation of house for a new cycle are all in place.
  7. Work closely with poultry caretakers to perform routine daily cleaning of the farm, farm equipment and overall work area.
  8. Work closely with the Flock Health team on execution of flock heath program and bio-security monitoring, measurements, as well as removal of non-productive birds in a timely and accurate manner.
  9. Communicate with the person-in-charge in ensuring the removal of chicken dung, empty bags and dead birds are done.
  10. Coordinate with harvesting supervisor on harvesting plan such as time, house, block, date, and age of birds for harvesting according to the agreed specification.
  11. To be accountable for the accuracy and reliability of weekly bird weighing and bird number at the farm for outgoing broiler birds.
  12. To be accountable for optimizing feed inventory and clearance of feed upon completion of cycle.
  13. To work closely with the person-in-charge to ensure accurate feed ordering and delivery based on forecasted amount and flock consumption.
  14. Perform any work or responsibility assigned by the Management as and when necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Science (Animal Husbandry)
