Job Description
- Help the company to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.
- Assisting Senior Manager/Division Manager Internal Audit to prepare annual audit plan for Risk based audits and Business Monitoring.
- Conduct/ assist in conducting risk based audits (Stores as well as Head Office) and consulting projects to ensure that the organisation is functional and internal control system as a whole works properly.
- Obtain commitment to recommendations made in audit reports from concerned stakeholders.
- Perform Follow up reviews on implementation of audit recommendations.
- Assist in Co-ordinating with Performance Improvement METRO AG for all changes and updations introduced in ICS Business Monitoring/ Store Check Tool and implementing those changes at MHCC PK.
- Lead/conduct Business Monitoring assignments as per Annual Audit Plan
- Obtain action plan from Stores for all the low performance areas highlighted during business monitoring.
- Involvement in preparing observation reports on annual and partial inventory counts to highlight deviations from Standard procedure.
- Provide on going support to other departments regarding Standard Operating Procedures and other control issues.
- Perform / assist in performing special assignments given by the Management.
- Any other assignment as and when required by the line management
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant from Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) Finalist, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Additional Qualification of Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) will be plus.
- Or MBA Finance from a reputable University with CIA qualification.
Experience:
- Minimum three years professional work experience in Statutory Audit/ Risk advisory services/ Finance in a reputable organization. Flexibility and willingness to travel
- Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to the Metro Cash & Carry business
- Strong Analytical background to review/ update Internal Controls System
Additional Information
Functional Skills:
- Knowledge of Operating procedures/ Internal Control System (ICS), Accounting rules, Revenue Laws, Corporate Laws, Corporate governance.
- Result oriented with strong Interpersonal & communication skills to finalize the audit reports.
- Strong Analytical skills to add value in the processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and GMS.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to meet deadlines.
- Self motivated and should be able to multitask under tight deadlines.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Possesses ability to bring about changes in ICS through continuous updating the controls.
- Must be fluent in Urdu and English (both written and spoken).
