Job Description
We are recruiting a Merchandising & Store Planning Lead to lead the national product display strategy in stores, ensuring alignment with the Group’s global standards and consistent operational execution across all stores in Portugal.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the national point of reference for Merchandising, working closely with key stakeholders such as Operations, Offer, and Supply Chain;
• Represent Portugal in the Group’s global and regional forums and ensure the local implementation of standards, frameworks, and best practices;
• Lead, supervise, and validate planograms, segmentations, and national display guidelines for food categories;
• Ensure the correct parametrization of articles in line with the guidelines from the Offer and Supply Chain departments, promoting the integrity of master data;
• Define national display standards and presentation principles, ensuring consistency with the Global Merchandising Framework;
• Define national recommendations for commercial, promotional, and seasonal campaigns (food calendar), ensuring readiness and consistent execution;
• Train and develop the teams under your responsibility, ensuring maturity and certification levels in the National Playbook;
• Support range review cycles with Offer and ensure disciplined in-store execution focused on efficiency and conversion.
Qualifications
• Degree in Marketing Management, Design, Architecture, or a related field;
• Solid experience in merchandising, store planning, trade marketing, or category management in food retail (minimum 5 years);
• Good knowledge of Excel;
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and visual merchandising tools (e.g., Spaceman, Mockshop, JDA, Relex or similar);
• Experience in multinational environments and with global execution standards;
• Strong process orientation, attention to detail, and operational management skills;
• High capacity for cross-functional influence, including global stakeholders;
• Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken) – Mandatory (minimum B2).
Workplace
• Head Office in Alfragide, with availability to travel to stores nationally up to 20% of the time.
