Job Description
As we continue to evolve our client portfolio and expand, MET Energia Italia is now looking for a talented Data Analytics & Integrations Specialist, who will contribute to the company's growth and support its digital transformation journey.
As Data Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data management and business intelligence solutions that support business operations and decision-making. Working closely with internal stakeholders and the MET Group Analytics team, you will translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, develops data models and reporting tools, and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and data-driven capabilities across the organization.
As Integrations Specialist, you will be responsible for gathering and tracking functional requirements, developing and maintaining operational automations built in Azure Databricks, and managing integrations between business applications, data platforms, and Databricks. You will ensure seamless data flows, support process automation initiatives, and contribute to the reliability and efficiency of the company's technology ecosystem.
As part of the IT team, you will progressively take ownership of a variety of activities, making a valuable contribution to our daily operations through the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Met Group Analytics team on BI activities, design, functional analysis, upgrading and maintenance
- Define user requirements and translating them into technical specifications documents and develop solutions with existing or new tools
- Improve existing systems and take care of the implementation process of new applications designed and chosen to maximize the productivity of the company and its activities
- Data Modelling and database development tools PL/SQL (mainly Oracle and MS SQL Server)
- Develop and maintain SQL and Python scripts to support data analytics, system integrations, and process automation
- Communicate and transform information into effective visual presentations (data visualization, presentation skills, incl. mastery of Power Point)
- Supporting the launch of new ideas and projects to grow the business
- Be active and ready to take on new challenges in other areas of MET should this become your desire
Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Knowledge of and experience within the energy sector is preferred
- 3-5 years of experience as SQL/Phyton Developer
- Strong expertise in data modeling principles and methodologies, including conceptual, logical and physical data models
- Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and problem analysis
- Proficiency in web services technologies (e.g. REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, etc.)
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach toward adopting emerging technologies
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships across diverse teams and external partners
- Effectively manage stakeholder expectations while navigating competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Excellent technical support and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on efficiently resolving user queries and issues
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload, manage multiple responsibilities, and consistently meet deadlines
- Fluent in Italian with a strong command of English
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL/PLSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with Databricks, Python, Power BI, and Power Query
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and data visualization tools
- Knowledge of REST APIs and process automation solutions such as Microsoft Power Automate
Preferred
- Experience with big data and distributed processing technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Flink, Hadoop Ecosystem, HDFS, S3)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure data platforms, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Key Vault
- Familiarity with Java, Salesforce development (Apex, Flows, Triggers), and modern front-end technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular)
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and security concepts, including VPC and IAM

- The position is aligned with Level 2 of the CCNL Commercio. Final remuneration will be determined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
