We are looking to expand the Analytics team by hiring an experienced Long-Term Power Researcher to strengthen long-term power analytics through structured research on future generation and transmission capacity developments across European markets.
The role will support strategic analytics, scenario development, and longer-term asset evaluation by translating market and infrastructure developments into documented modelling assumptions and research outputs.

Job Description

  • Research future generation and transmission capacity developments across European markets, including new builds, refurbishments, decommissioning, and network expansion
  • Develop and maintain structured assumptions on technology buildouts, disruptions, delays, and saturation hypotheses
  • Support mid/long-term fundamental modelling through documented research inputs and scenario development
  • Track relevant market, infrastructure, and project-pipeline developments and assess their impact on longer-term power market fundamentals
  • Contribute to asset valuation, strategic analytics, and longer-term scenario work
  • Cooperate closely with long-term analysts, traders, data engineers, and other stakeholders

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in power market analysis, strategy, research, or a related role in the energy/commodities sector
  • Strong understanding of European power markets, generation technologies, and transmission/infrastructure developments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong research, analytical, and synthesis skills
  • Ability to structure qualitative market developments into scenario assumptions and modelling inputs.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Coding skills in Python and SQL are an advantage
  • Ability to explain complex developments clearly and translate research into actionable analytical views
