Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, data-driven Junior Trading Operator to support trading activities in the Polish power and gas markets, focusing on intraday and day-ahead trading. The role requires strong market awareness, analytical thinking, and technical proficiency to support forecasting and decision-making. You will be responsible for optimizing trading and balancing positions and reacting to real-time market signals.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute short-term power and gas trades on the Polish market (TGE, OTC, bilateral).
  • Monitor real-time market conditions, price movements, and system constraints.
  • Manage balancing positions in coordination with system operators.
  • Automate data analysis, scenario simulations, and strategy backtesting.
  • Ensure compliance with Polish energy regulations (URE, REMIT).
  • Prepare daily trading reports and performance summaries.
  • Further development in the field of market operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic experience in short-term gas / power trading or dispatching.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or analytical field.
  • Basic understanding of the Polish gas and/or power market’s structure, balancing rules, trading and market data exchange platforms. 
  • Experience with Python (or other coding language), SQL, MS Excel.
  • Work Availability: Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays (fully remote) in the scope of balancing, nomination, and scheduling process supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make fast decisions in dynamic environments.
  • Fluent in Polish and working proficiency in English.
