Job Description

Reporting directly to the CEO of MET Česká republika, the selected candidate will lead the development and expansion of the Key Account gas and power business across all market segments. Responsibilities include acquiring and managing a diversified client portfolio, leading sales team, driving origination activities - particularly with EFET counterparties - and participating in structuring corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and renewable energy offtake agreements.

The candidate will proactively identify and analyze business opportunities, engage new clients, and collaborate closely with local portfolio management and central trading teams to design and deliver customized energy solutions tailored to the Czech market.

Main responsibilities

  • Establish and lead gas and electricity KA sales and origination activities to drive business growth in the Czech Republic, ensuring alignment with the local entity's risk management framework
  • Lead and mentor a team of sales managers in acquiring new customers and building a profitable client portfolio, while ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities, ranging from commodity sales to potential asset investments
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement customized energy solutions for clients
  • Develop and present regular reports on business activities and progress

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in gas and/or electricity sales, and origination
  • Proven success in building and maintaining client relationships and achieving sales targets, particularly within Key-account and Wholesale markets
  • In-depth knowledge of gas and power pricing fundamentals, products, and market dynamics
  • Strong contract negotiation skills with a solid understanding of energy legislation and market regulations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a business-oriented and results-driven approach
  • Fluency in Czech and English
