Job Description

Objective of the role
Management of natural gas purchase contracts in accordance with the regulations in force and in compliance with the rules set by the Employer and management of natural gas sales contracts with resellers. Reports to the CEO. 

Essential responsibilities

  • Plan and ensure through contracts the purchase and sale of wholesale natural gas in accordance with the Gas Department's budget provisions
  • Coordinate and participate directly in the negotiation, signing and monitoring of the execution of contracts for purchases and sales to resellers
  • Coordinate the preparation of tenders and draft contracts as well as the handling of requests from wholesale customers within the deadlines 
  • Ensure compliance with the obligations incumbent upon MET Romania Energy SA for the activities carried out on the natural gas market in accordance with the legislation in force and ANRE regulations
  • Pursue maximization of profit / sales volume (or turnover) and relationships with existing and potential wholesale customers
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the Gas Pricing Policy
  • Monitor and is responsible for resolving conflicts with the company's partners in the area of gas procurement and supply to wholesale customers
  • Monitor the continuous evolution of market requirements and adapts natural gas purchasing and sales strategies to the market context

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Academic degree in economics/business
  • +5 years experience in the energy industry, preferably gas supply
  • Detailed knowledge of the gas market, functioning mechanisms and specific legislation for gas industry
  • Mastery knowledge of suppliers obligations and duties
  • Detailed knowledge about Romanian gas transport and distribution systems, rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of BRM, OPCOM and Trasngaz/GMOIS platforms
  • Knowledge of Endur ETRM is a strong plus
  • Advanced knowledge of English
