MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines. 

METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.

• Regular reports on identified key macroeconomic publications and statistics
• Daily analysis of global oil markets focusing on providing actionable insights
• Regular reports on energy-intensive industry trends for chemicals, metals processing, construction, refineries, and mining sectors.
• Monthly supply & demand updates on key value chains dependencies of energy-intensive industry sectors (such as minerals, metals, uranium, cement, oil, and coal markets)
• Establish analytical frameworks for modelling European and Global long-term energy demand trends, CO2 emissions supply & demand, and gas-to-fertilizer demand in Europe.
• Develop scenarios of potential outcomes of events, policy, and geopolitical developments, to be used as inputs for energy prices development scenarios.
• Collaborate with data analytics team on expanding our global economic data coverage and notification system.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Oil/Macro Analyst with commodity markets exposure
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics; Master’s degree a plus
• Experience in the energy trading/commodities sector is a plus.
• Strong research, analytical, and quantitative skills (econometric and statistical modeling)
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Coding skills in Python and SQL are an advantage.
• Ability to explain and communicate complex concepts, translate market analyses into propositions/strategies and to communicate them clearly.
