MET Group is an integrated European energy company, headquartered in Switzerland, with activities in natural gas and power, focused on multi-commodity wholesale, trading and sales, as well as energy infrastructure and industrial assets.

The Green Assets Divison's goal is to create a significant, transparent, financially sound green asset portfolio (consisting of solar PV and onshore wind power plants), resulting in positive shareholder return with reasonable risk profile via deep understanding of the energy markets. We are dedicated to build a 2000+ MW – geographically and technologically diversified – green portfolio by 2026 in Europe.

The position is full-time, based in Germany. 

The objective of the role is to support MET Group’s Renewables business development activities in the DACH region, furthermore drive the technical deliverables of these projects, by onboarding new projects, providing coordination from early stage project development, through construction, to putting the assets into operation.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Project management from the investor’s side – driving planning, licensing, construction and other technical work processes to realise the company’s renewable energy projects,
• Drive assessments of new projects and projects in development, including feasibility studies and risk analysis, with support of internal and selected external resources (e.g. technical and legal advisors),
• Tendering, preparing and managing contracts related to the development and construction of the company’s renewable energy projects,
• Providing local origination coverage for realising the growth ambition of MET’s Green Assets Division, by building and maintaining effective partner network and driving acquisition and co-development initiatives, in close coordination with the Origination Director and the Renewables CEO,
• Definition of project due diligence scope of work and budget, negotiation of engagement letters with external advisors and coordination of the due diligence,
• Leading negotiations with the different stakeholders of the project,
• Evaluating and supporting the technical side of renewable projects’ business development,
• Supporting renewable energy projects’ commercial and technical operation optimisation,
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with project developers, partners, subcontractors, authorities, grid operators and technical advisors,
• Supporting and tracking the internal approval process for projects and transactions,
• Preparing internal reports to the management,
• Preparing and analysing studies and evaluations related to the industry,
• Performing other additional tasks related to the job.

• At least 3 years of project management experience in solar PV/ wind project development and construction management in Germany,
• Deep knowledge of the renewables permitting and regulatory background in Germany is a must,
• Fluent in German (native) and English,
• Engineering degree,
• Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and project management skills.
