Company Description

MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines. 

The Product Control Analyst is a key employee in the daily production and controlling of all the BAUs reporting tasks and a key stakeholder with respect to the interaction with CFO teams across MET Group, METI FO, ETRM, IT, Market Risk and Quant Risk team.

The main tasks include ensuring positions is correctly captured, assessed and valued in the system of record ENDUR for the 5 trading desk of METI as well as other group entities in ENDUR.

Job Description

  • Production and supervision of the BAUs reporting cycle (P&L, exposures)
  • Daily interaction with Market Risk team, Deal Validation and CFOs team
  • Investigation of issues (e.g., booking, pricing) in Endur ETRM system impacting P&L and/or risk
  • Improve valuation methodology documents 
  • Daily interaction with the 5 trading desks of METI, acting proactively to ensure the system or record ENDUR is up to date 
  • Involvement in projects to enhance reporting systems and/or migrations – reconciling MTM’s and Deltas and understanding impacts of changes in methodology
  • Help shape and improve the PC management function and governance
  • Monitoring compliance with Risk management policies and any relevant operational policies which impact the P&L booking
  • Monitoring of breaches of Book ID and limits

Qualifications

  • Ideally 2-5 years+ of Product Control experience gained in a physical European Gas and Power Commodities trading environment. METI is committed to developing junior talents and we welcome more junior candidates to apply if committed to developing within the product control area
  • Endur experience highly preferred 
  • Ability to work under pressure to deadlines in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail 
  • Problem solving and hands on attitude 
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent VBA skills (additional coding knowledge would be beneficial)
