Job Description

 

  • Part of the Group Finance team, the Senior Trade Finance Manager will be responsible for providing financial support to the Group NatGas and Power trading operations;
  • The STF Manager will be responsible to attract new sources of financing for the Group, with an “out of the box” approach to asset-based finance and asset monetization;
  • Directly reporting to the Head of Treasury and Corporate finance, the STF Manager will directly interact with the Trading entities to proactively organise and structure for the financing requirements of the division;
  • The STF Manager will be responsible for identifying and assessing the financing requirements arising out of contemplated business developments of the trading division;
  • The STF Manager will have direct access to the group banking pool, in coordination with his finance colleagues, to develop, negotiate, structure and implement efficient financing solutions to provide for the working capital requirements to support the business growth of the company;
  • Set up relevant financial structures in order to minimize risk, optimize working capital and reduce financing cost, including the review of facility and security documentation for existing and new financing facilities;
  • Ensure awareness of the Management through direct communication regarding all trade finance-related matters, risks and opportunities identified in the general course of business;
  • Assist and interact with other departments within the Group (Trading, Legal, Finance, Accounting and others) and support them with trade finance related matters, but also be involved in development of procedures/synergies with regard to the cooperation with other departments in order to optimize existing processes

Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc degree in Accounting/Finance
  • At least 5 years of experience in the trade finance department of a commodity bank or of a trading company, with proven track record in Trade Finance, ideally in the field of Gas & Power
  • Knowledge of main trade finance products and mechanics, market players, specifics of gas trading including operations, documentation (EFET) and credit risks in general, and a good understanding of the bank capacities
  • Strong analytical skill with a good attention to detail
  • High self-motivated and results-oriented individual
