Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Participate and support due diligence processes of greenfield, brownfield and operative assets during both project acquisition and financing stages in the energy (industrial assets), power (power plants) and renewable sectors (solar parks, wind farms)
  • Work alongside project managers, the M&A team in managing the financing and related contractual elements. Identify the challenges to be addressed in designing the project financing plan
  • Reporting directly to the Group Treasurer initially as an individual contributor with a view to potentially scale the team in line with the growth ambitions and trajectory of the group
  • Financial analysis, modeling, and review of projects. Assess project-related financial risks and identify adequate mitigation strategies to ensure optimal financing structures and costs
  • Ensure awareness of the Management through direct communication regarding financial matters, risks and opportunities identified during project reviews
  • Structure, negotiate, execute and close project financing transactions under tight deadlines with accountability.
  • Work side-by-side with project managers and produce regular progress reports, financial dashboards, or other reports as required
  • Monitor existing financing arrangements, covenants, and undertakings in close collaboration with colleagues in the Finance departments and Assets divisions

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • BSc/MSc in finance
  • 5+ years’ experience in Project Finance with a proven track record either gained within a banking, private equity/ fund or specialist corporate project finance environment
  • Renewables, energy infrastructure, and power assets transaction background
  • Excellent financial modeling abilities in complex spreadsheets
  • English a must or European languages (German, Spanish, Italian in particular) an advantage
  • Results-oriented, respects deadlines and gives attention to details
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both internal team members and external stakeholders
