MET Group is an integrated European energy company, headquartered in Switzerland, with activities in natural gas and power, focused on multi-commodity wholesale, trading and sales, as well as energy infrastructure and industrial assets.

The Green Asset Divison's goal is to create a significant, transparent, financially sound green asset – wind and solar – portfolio, resulting in positive shareholder return with reasonable risk profile via deep understanding of the energy markets. MET Group invests in ready-to-build assets and develops greenfield, and brownfield sites as well. We aim to establish 500 MW of renewable capacity in Europe by 2023 as part of a new push into the green energy sector. In the longer term, our objective is to achieve another 500 MW of renewable capacity in operation by 2026.

Job Description

  • Ensuring maximum performance and availability of an operating, PV power plant portfolio in Hungary, with over 300 MWp built-in capacity
  • Coordination and management of internal O&M team and external subcontractors
  • Establishment of internal O&M reporting structure according to international best practices
  • Defining improvement measures for individual power plants and for portfolio synergies
  • Supporting execution, realization and integration of PV M&A and Construction project with operation experience
  • O&M contract management and necessary re-negotiations
  • Getting involved in the implementation of the integrated strategic vision of the Green Division of MET Group

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in engineering (electrical, energy or mechanical)
  • At least 5 years of work experience in infrastructure and/or power plant operation and maintenance
  • Detailed understanding and experience in the power industry, especially in the field of renewables is an advantage
  • Fluent in Hungarian and English
  • Good with numbers and Excel
  • System-level understanding of energy systems, especially renewable energy systems
  • Keen to understand business
  • Self-starter with problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage and/or cooperate with a high number of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and to consistently produce high-quality deliverables
