The Green Asset Divison's goal is to create a significant, transparent, financially sound green asset – wind and solar – portfolio, resulting in positive shareholder return with reasonable risk profile via deep understanding of the energy markets. MET Group invests in ready-to-build assets and develops greenfield, and brownfield sites as well. We aim to establish 500 MW of renewable capacity in Europe by 2023 as part of a new push into the green energy sector. In the longer term, our objective is to achieve another 500 MW of renewable capacity in operation by 2026.

Job Description

We offer an excellent opportunity to a professional in finance to be involved in a wide range of activities.

Your main focus areas will be accounting support; planning and forecasting; closing and reporting. You will prepare analyses for business decisions and work out budget follow-up reports. This is a complex, process driven task that requires your ability to work with different departments, consolidate the information and communicate it efficiently. You will have the opportunity to deal with a geographically diverse portfolio of entities across Europe - with the main focus being on Hungary.

Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for accurate monthly and yearly financial closure, controls and internal processes, provide support to the statutory financial audit
  • Ensure financial processes are undertaken accurately, efficiently, on time and according to the surrounding internal control procedures
  • Proactive collaboration with local and group accounting & controlling teams and tax department
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc management reports and financial analyses to the local management team
  • Cash flow management of the legal entities within the Division
  • Managing the incoming and outgoing invoices with Accounting Department

Qualifications

  • MSc/ BSc in Economics, major in Controlling is highly appreciated
  • 2-3+ years of relevant professional experience in similar position (preferably in financial audit and/or accounting service experience)
  • Fluent in Hungarian
  • English language at negotiation level
  • Highly proficient Excel usage
  • Tagetik knowledge is an advantage
