MET Group is an integrated European energy company, headquartered in Switzerland, with activities in natural gas and power, focused on multi-commodity wholesale, trading and sales, as well as energy infrastructure and industrial assets.

The amount of electricity generated by renewable energy producers is expected to increase in the future, accounting for the bulk of overall energy production. In addition to maintaining supply, the sector will need to address flexibility issues as well. Flexibility assets are therefore an integral part of MET Group's strategy for supporting the energy transition, and we consider flexibility to be the "new renewable".

Hence we are operating and constantly looking at new assets that we believe we can operate efficiently, creating synergies with our existing positions. Technologies like CHP (combined heat and power) and CCGT (combined cycle gas turbine) plants, or other asset types such as gas storages, batteries and aggregator platforms provide a solution to boost the flexibility of the energy market.

• Accounting advice in HAS and IFRS issues, including monthly/year-end closing and audit support for the Profit Center’s legal entities, control the closing activity of the Accounting Department
• Manage Intercompany reconciliation during monthly/yearly closing
• Prepare of consolidated Profit Center reports (PL, BS and CF)
• Manage annual budgeting and interim forecast processes
• Consolidation and comparison of target/actual results
• Continuous development of the reporting system,
• Prepare controlling reports and ad-hoc reports to the local management and MET Group
• Proactive collaboration with local and group accounting&controlling teams and tax department
• Financial support of M&A projects

• MSc/BSc in Economics, major in Accounting or Controlling is highly appreciated
• +5 years relevant professional experience, Big4 audit is highly appreciated
• IFRS knowledge
• Consolidation knowledge is an advantage
• Fluent English
• Proficiency in using MS Office (including highly developed proficiency in Excel)
• NAVision, Tagetik knowledge is an advantage
• ACCA Certificate is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy
• Experience in energy sector is an advantage
