Job Description

Role you will play:

The Secure Technology Asset Disposition (STAD) Operations Manager is responsible for the daily management, monitoring, customer support and consultation, throughout and performance of the Asset Disposition center.  The role will be responsible for directing supervisory, administrative and security personnel involved in STAD operations and assuring workflows, quality, efficiency, customer requirements and regulatory obligations are maintained, and that objectives and goals are met.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage STAD operations leadership team responsible for scheduling, shipping, receiving, sorting, testing and recycling services.
  • Work with staff and management team to ensure processes and procedures are executed and associated quality and performance metrics are documented and maintained.
  • Provide Support in consulting new customers in collaboration with MCPc account managers on workflows and meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with quality assurance to identify, develop and implement new processes that contribute to increasing the overall efficiency of the service operations and lowering service costs
  • Set throughput and production goals for individuals and for teams.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the STAD group to partners and vendors
  • Ensure team adheres to Safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure team is following work instructions
  • Ensure compliance following quality control procedures and policies
  • Achieve cost and production objectives
  • Complete monthly Safety audits and correct any issues identified
  • Address internal and external customer issues
  • Maintain consumable supplies inventory
  • Monitor and track employee attendance, quality, safety and production performance
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives
  • Conduct training and ensure backups are trained and staffed for key positions
  • Implement personnel/operational policies and procedures

Key Outcomes of the Position:

Assigned teams meet production, environmental and security objectives with accurate information maintained in system of record.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • An Associate’s degree in related field is preferred
  • A minimum of three years supervisor experience in a production environment.
  • Reverse logistics and CE returns processing experience a plus
  • ITAD experience a plus
  • PC literate with Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting concepts and techniques
  • Strong leadership and motivation skills
  • Attention to detail, well organized, accurate
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team driven customer service environment

Physical Requirements:

Occasional sitting, focusing on and operating a computer several times a day. Ability to read printed words and numbers in printed form and on computer/terminal monitor. Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination. Daily lifting up to 25 lbs. up to 5 minutes at a time. Daily carrying up to 25 lbs. up to 5 minutes at a time. Constant standing, walking, stooping.  Constant reaching, handling products. Able to use a Pallet Jack and move materials weighing up to 750 lbs.  Ability to operate a forklift.

Regular attendance and punctuality are an essential job function of this position.  In addition, the duties of this job need to be performed inside of our offices (unless authorized due to extraordinary circumstances by your manager and Human Resources) for the purpose of interaction and collaboration with colleagues and/or clients as necessary, the ability to adequately supervise the associate, and/or the availability of necessary equipment utilized for regular job functions.  MCPc allows four pre-approved work at home days annually.
