Job Description

  • Provide community or site based individual and/or family therapy; also serve as clinical lead.
  • Provide individualized assessment and planning.
  • Provide both community psychiatric support treatment (CPST) and individual mental health therapy services.
  • Provide behavioral health counseling, assessments, as well as develop strength based engagement with children and families in need of services.
  • Deliver CBI Level 2 & 3 services to a caseload of 4- to 6 consumers.
  • Prepare therapeutic reports for court.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and community services (school, work, community mental health professionals, medical, etc.).
  • Document all contacts, attempts, and outcomes with client and families.
  • Attend all CBI required trainings.
  • Completion of training will qualify you as an Intensive Home-Based Treatment Therapist.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field 
  • Must be licensed in Washington DC as  APRN, LPC, LMFT, LGSW, LGPC. LISW or Psychology Associates.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Flexible schedule

Preferred Experience:

  • Community-based service experience working with youth with significant mental
  • health challenges and their families
  • Crisis intervention, safety planning, behavior management, and life skill building
  • Multi-systems collaboration. Knowledge of child-serving systems (schools, juvenile justice system, child welfare, developmental disabilities)
  • Child and family teaming
  • Individual and family therapy
  • Diagnosis and assessments, System of Care Principles
  • Treatment planning and documentation

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Family systems
  • Trauma-informed care

Additional Information

Salary Range: $65,000 - $72,000
