Job Description
- Processes requests for supplies and purchase orders from leadership staff, receives in and distributes orders and supplies.
- Acts as facility-level liaison between vendors, Accounts Payable, and the Corporate Finance team
- Creates Purchase Orders for both supplies and facility projects; maintains office supplies
- Maintains vendor relationships, requests bids for annual and consumable supplies.
- Perform routine clerical functions, such as, file retention; document information promptly and clearly
- Operates independently and have the desire to learn new processes
- Answer phone calls, direct calls and messages as appropriate
- Greet visitors and direct as appropriate
- Process requests to IT Service Desk
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, comprehend, respond to, and create written instructions, e-mail correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts and make simple calculations.
- Ability to work with often-changing circumstances in the Logistics field.
- Ability to think clearly, take initiative, and work independently.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers via phone and email
- High school diploma and one-year experience working in an office environment
- Must have computer experience, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with SAP or other WMS systems a plus
- Familiarity with a Warehouse or Distribution Center environment a plus
- Must be able to communicate in English
