We are hiring a Paint Loader/Unloader for the second shift at our Jackson, IL, location. The starting salary is $19.00/hour plus a $2.50/hour shift differential. The hours for this position are 3:30 pm—2:00 am, Monday through Thursday, with opportunities for overtime pay.

Job Description

The Powder Paint Operator performs the following tasks:

  • Set up paint equipment to paint miscellaneous components for assembly lines. This requires changing booth paint modules and paint guns positions.
  • Clean booths and guns to allow paint colors to be changed. This requires using squeegees and OSHA approved blow guns.
  • Adjust paint to meet coverage specifications.
  • Clean washer nozzles daily and monitor PH and cleaner concentration levels of washer.
  • Take care of Preventive maintenance of washer, bake oven, dry off oven, paint booths, and conveyor system.
  • Load and unload conveyor system with miscellaneous parts.
  • Monitor and document quality checks of paint on product. Work on sanding defects for repaint.
  • Hand paint product in areas that normally do not get enough coverage
  • Take parts off conveyor and pack in containers or on carts.
  • Monitor painted parts coming off conveyor for any defects in paint.
  • Move carts of tanks or bins with a floor jack and distribute to assigned locations

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.    
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Good communication skills, must be a team player.
