Job Description

This is responsible for developing manufacturing processes for the fencing, lawn & garden, and pet containment product portfolio for the MATI division of MAT Holdings. This role requires working cross-functionally across multiple departments to maintain and monitor the integrity of the existing product portfolio and assist in new product development support for each category.   • Assist in the continued improvement of the MAT wire fence product portfolio
  • Work closely with production and sales to monitor product attributes and align engineering designs with market demands and company capabilities
  • Investigate new developments in the steel / Ag fencing field to evaluate their application to improve or remedy existing manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in new product development to match the voice of customer, innovation, and product evolution
  • Document QC issues and communicate with customers, sales, and production staff to resolve issues
  • Work closely with overseas Production on a monthly basis or as needed to ensure that correct procedures are followed, potential problems/delays are avoided, actual problems are identified, and the appropriate corrective action is taken to satisfy the customer's expectations.
  • Recommends new technology for company applications where feasible and practical.
  • Support production through recommendations on assembly methods, line balance, operator training, and process control

Education/Experience:

  • 3+ years of work experience in a product management role
  • Bachelor’s degree - BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Microsoft Office skill a must; Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop a plus
