Job Description

This position leads and supports the day-to-day maintenance team activity in accordance with maintenance and operations strategies and goals that maximize the profits to the company by improving efficiencies and cutting costs. Proactively seeks opportunities for improvement to ensure maximum company performance. Maintain a safe work environment for self and co-workers.

Wage: $85-$90k

Principle Responsibilities

  • Facilitates hiring the most talented, effective maintenance team members and collaboratively establishes goals and expectations for outstanding performance.

  • Initiates and aggressively pursues the development of company training programs: maintenance training for new and current maintenance team members, PC skills, individual development needs, etc., which result in exceptional growth and contribution to the highest performance levels.

  • Inspires and supports maintenance team members in prospecting and developing processes and procedures to improve efficiencies and decrease costs.
  • Thinks strategically and develops long-range repair and preventative maintenance plans (in collaboration with the Plant Manager and the maintenance group) while empowering the maintenance team members to execute short-term actions to achieve progress toward these long-range plans.

  • Proactively provides expert technical counsel to all company associates, especially maintenance team members.

  • Continuously provide expert counsel to research new and improved methods of production.

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to collaboratively work with other members of the executive team to develop and improve company strategies

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university and/or a minimum of five years maintenance experience in manufacturing. Expert knowledge and understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, power trains, and electrical, including 3-phase 480v, 24v control circuits, and computer networks, is required.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, payback periods, area, volume, basic statistics, and variation.

  • Personal attributes include professional, ethical, participation and fair management style, excellent communication, believes in the future of the industry, creativity, solution-oriented, energetic, self-motivated, organization, and ability to handle stress well.

  • Specific skills include basic computer skills, good coaching and feedback skills, and excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, written), excellent mechanical skills, and excellent planning skills.
