Job Description

The e-Commerce Manager will support the Automotive Divisions of Bendix Brakes & Gabriel Ride Control, and be responsible for e-commerce development and management, effectively driving and growing sales specifically within Amazon.com and our e-retail partners. The e-Commerce Manager will focus on coordinating digital efforts with regards to search and display/banner campaigns and affiliate marketing efforts to drive online sales.

This position will also be the primary developer of comprehensive digital and promotional e-commerce plans and content, collaborating with internal marketing and e-comm sales staff as well as any outside partners and third party agencies. The e-Commerce Manager will be responsible for creative and compelling incentives, offers and messaging, etc., targeted to consumers through existing and new digital channels.

Essential Duties

Online Product Sales and Strategy

  • Responsible for developing and implementing sales building programs at Amazon.com and our strategic e-retail partners across our automotive portfolios of products.
  • Responsible for evolving our digital footprint, emphasizing the conversion path to purchase, and ensuring strong integration with and across our other brand campaigns.
  • Stay abreast of cutting edge solutions to enhance our product marketing identity that will be meaningful to consumers. Set up of all new items, promotional calendar development and implementation, post-performance and weekly analysis, and other duties as assigned.
  • Oversee the tracking and analysis of e-Commerce sales and analytics to ensure we are constantly learning and improving the process.
  • Work closely with sales teams, e-Commerce partners and retailer accounts to develop strong promotional strategies and unique product offerings that will enhance presence on their sites.
  • Act as point person with the sales team and online retailers (Amazon.Com), providing them with necessary assets and marketing support.
  • Assist with developing promotion and product innovation calendar to align brand campaigns, new product launches, brick and mortar retail events and promotional initiatives.

Lead and Sales Generation

  • Work alongside internal marketing partners and digital agency on a daily basis to optimize key terms and banner ad performance.
  • Generate competitive, integrated, research-based and data driven insight that increases consideration and sales with potential online buyers.
  • Assists in the development and management of the e-commerce P&L to deliver company top and bottom line results for this channel of business.

Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of Amazon.com platform and tools – particularly A+ pages.
  • Broad knowledge of online and e-Commerce space and best-in-class third party providers.
  • Strong knowledge and working experience of web analytics packages such as Omniture, Coremetrics, Google Analytics, Compete.com Adobe Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of data manipulation tools particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of forecasting and business analysis (including but not limited to; site traffic, conversion, spend, click-through rate etc. to identify growth and optimization opportunities).
  • Knowledge of negotiating methods, principles and concepts.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, modeling, budgeting and business planning.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with a discipline in marketing or business from accredited college/university preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in e-Commerce Marketing and Sales.
  • Must have direct Amazon.com experience with a successful record of managing accounts and developing brands.
