Job Description

Will perform all electrical components of the facility as well as a variety of maintenance functions as they pertain to maintaining manufacturing equipment and facilities in good repair. Must be able to perform repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systems in the facility.  Preventative maintenance responsibilities and performing instituted processes as directed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to verify electrical qualifications.
  • Will be responsible for all areas pertaining to industrial wiring.
  • Must be able to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Must be able to follow and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Must be self-motivated and work with a sense of urgency.  Should be able to work with little supervision.
  • Will perform preventative maintenance for equipment and machinery in all departments and keep equipment and machinery in good repair.
  • Will provide maintenance support for all manufacturing departments.  Must work in a safe and safety minded manner.  Perform all tasks with personal safety and the safety of others in mind.
  • Must be willing to attend on-site and off-site training, at the companies’ expense, to enhance technical knowledge.
  • Must have the ability to understand and communicate on a technical level as necessary to convey thoughts, ideas, or suggestions.
  • Repetitive lifting of materials and product throughout the process up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to know and understand blueprints.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be safety conscious, quality minded, have good work habits and attendance.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be flexible in the department and help wherever needed, possibly in other departments.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent. Technical degree desired.
  • Master electrician certification.
  • Two years industrial electricity.
  • Good communication skills, must follow written and verbal instructions. Effective mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and structural systems.  Welding, plasma cutting, shop equipment use and operation.  Exhibit a high degree of attention to detail and craftsmanship.
